Beef Liver Dog Treats
"Offal" refers to organ meats like heart, liver, kidneys, and tongue. Bellair consistently stocks beef, pork, and chicken offal. Our cattle are 100% grass-fed (never fed grain!). Our hogs & broiler chickens also live on pasture, are moved frequently, and are fed Sunrise non-GMO feed. We feel good about the quality and nutritional value of our meat and that includes the nutrient-dense organs.
There are many organ-specific recipes you can try, like liver patΓ© (chicken or beef), tacos de lengua (beef tongue), liver and onions, or traditional white pudding (with pork liver), or steak and kidney pie.
You can also blend organ meat in with other cuts, i.e. mix strips of marinated beef heart in with steak (for nachos, etc.), blend a small amount of ground liver/heart in with ground beef (for meatballs or meatloaf), etc.
Another great use of organ meats is homemade dog treats. Michelle dehydrates strips of beef liver and sometimes other offal (like chicken lungs, which we don't have anymore), and her dogs LOVE them
